GOD’S WILL IS PERFECT, EVEN WHEN IT IS PAINFUL

When the year begins we normally do our resolutions, plans and corporate fasts or prayers. One of my prayer items was for God’s will to come to fruition concerning my life. It then came to heart that his will is perfect and his will is safe. Perfection and safety do not however guarantee a smooth sailing or painless journey.
When we submit to God’s will and our world is turned upside down,we sometimes question God. Questions such as “God,why me?”, “God why have you forsaken me?” or words such as “May this cup pass” become a part of our vocabulary. We even forget his promises or plans for our lives. For some of us,we simply want to give it all up because honestly, life can be so difficult at times.

James 1:2 speaks of considering it joy when we face trials. The end result becomes maturity (James 1:4). The season of immaturity has expired in certain areas of our lives. How painful is the process of that revelation? I know if it were up to me,I’d be living in my world of NO PROBLEMS however, we need to give birth to God’s ultimate promise regarding our lives. How will you ever stewart his blessing when you’re not grown enough to handle it with the greatest spiritual care? How will we enter in those rooms that are far too great if we’re not bold enough? How will you minister to someone if you haven’t experienced the pain? Character needs to be built.

The comfort we can have is in not being blown away to a point of being erased. We are not consumed. We will never be consumed. Maybe we can be shaken however we will never be consumed(Lamentations 3:22)

Be reminded, all things work together for good. I’m always reminded of an analogy from one saint. She spoke of a complete puzzle. One season of our lives may be like the one piece of puzzle we resent. We may even question its purpose. Some of us may want to conceal it,block it because of the amount of hurt and weight it carries however a puzzle piece is needed to complete the whole puzzle. In as much as it is painful, you needed to experience that pain for your good. You will know the greater good in due time. A puzzle is never regarded complete until every piece is filled.

Here’s what you can also hold on to:

1.Resurrection is coming. God will fulfill his promises regarding your life Isaiah 55:8-11;Jeremiah 29:11;Romans 4:17-22
2.  His will is safe. I would rather suffer in his will than to be happy out of his will. Being out of God’s Will will cost you.

Jesus went through pain. He had the ability to save himself yet he did not. Instead he allowed God’s perfect will to come to pass. The result was worth it (Matthew 27:35-42). We have been redeemed through the blood of the Lamb.
Do not forget, storms never last. Allow his will to come to fruition. He knows what he is doing. He is building and moulding us. Is it easy? Never! Is it worth it? Always!

In conclusion, Deuteronomy 8 is a portion of scripture whereby God prepares the Israelites for the promise. He mentions how he allowed them to experience all the pain in order for him to humble them and know what was in their hearts. What does this communicate to me? God WILL fulfill EVERY promise he has ever made to you. He WILL sustain you throughout the journey.

YOU WILL WITNESS THE PROMISE REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU GO THROUGH.
