NAVIGATING GOD’S PROMISES

Navigating Gods promises should be easy right? Well.. not entirely. But the good thing is we can always refer back to scripture as not just as a reminder but a refresher for the mind/spirit, to remind us what God has promised us and to have faith and belief that it will come to pass. Let’s dive into some scriptures. Isaiah 41:10 says “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” God is basically saying to us that no matter what we go through in life I AM WITH YOU. So there is no reason to be afraid. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

He also tells us don’t be discouraged. I know as spiritual beings having a human experience, when life throws us curveballs or we are going through a storm, we tend to get discouraged. Wondering if God has heard our prayers, if He is coming through for you. And just know that He did hear your prayers, seen your tears and trust that He WILL come through for you. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Then Gods final message in this scripture says that He will strengthen us and help us. He will hold us up with his victorious right hand. As long as we have God on our side, and we ask him to help us, he will do so. For where we are weak, God is strong. He will lift us up and continue to help us throughout our journey.

Here is another promising scripture from God that we can also break down: For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). I relate back to this scripture regularly to remind me the plans he has for me ARE good despite what my current reality looks like. Once again, it’s hard for us as human beings to forget his promises when life tends to become too much at times. But the more we practice meditating on his scriptures, the more peace we will have not just in him but within our situation because this is not permanent. Be consistent, commit your plans to him and he will guide you and help you, He will prosper you and give you hope for the future. “God is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).”

Meditate on them and revert back to those scriptures whenever you are having a difficult moment in your life in whatever area that may be. Always always go to God about what you are dealing with. He hears you and sees you.

Here’s some homework we all could do:

I want you to look up some scriptures on Gods promises and write them down on a piece of paper or your notes app on your digital device. There is no number to the amount of scriptures you want to choose. Whatever scripture(s) relates the most to your spirit, meditate on them and revert back to those scriptures whenever you are having a difficult moment in your life in whatever area that may be. Always always go to God about what you are dealing with. He hears you and sees you. Remember. Just because he is quiet, does not mean he isn’t working. God is not a man that He shall lie (Numbers 23:18). May you all be blessed and REMEMBER GODS PROMISES!
